What’s up everyone?!!! Today, I’m going to talk about probably one of the cutest (aaaarrrrgghhhh) figure in my whole collection. It’s the Manual Factory Beaaaarrr!!!
Alright. So to start, let’s have a brief background of the company. LOG-ON is one of the three core components of City Super Group. It’s a lifestyle store featuring trendy products from around the world including stationery, gadgets, fashion items, travel accessories, and beauty and wellness products. LOG-ON currently has 13 branches in Hong Kong.
One particular branch situated in Harbour City has something called MANUAL FACTORY. Created in 2015, this special section allows shoppers to personalize gifts for friends and loved ones. They offer Leather Embossing, Custom Engraving, Photo printing, Heat Pressing, Button Making and Special Gift-Wrapping. As of today, 2 LOG-ON branches have this specialty section.
The Birth
Patrick was born in Hong Kong and took a Psychology Degree in Canada. He’s currently staying in Hong Kong as the Concept and Merchandising Manager of city’super & LOG-ON, 2 of the brands under the City Super Group. He often creates special projects to spark change and Manual Factory is one of them.

According to Patrick, Manual Factory was specifically created to solve two issues:
1. They have to strategically maximize the strange layout of the space given to them by the landlord.
2. Create a zone for the customization needs of customers. Back then, all of their staff are technically trained in using the machines (engraving, stamping, etc.).
“I’d like to give the zoning a more friendly face instead of just showing all these machines. I wanted to create a character representing our skillful staff. At lunch time, 15th of May 2015, I sat on my desk and drew the first bear.”

Manual Factory Bear or MFB is a gentle and thoughtful craftsman helping people to create personalized gifts to express love. He loves travelling and meeting people.
This is the second collaboration of Manual Factory with Unbox Industries (the first being the Baby Bear from Wave 2). This 4-inch goodness is released as a regular edition sold continuously as needed. Limited editions will be sold at specific stores or certain events only. The “frozen” edition is only available at the LOG-ON Times Square, Harbour City branch and select apm stores.
Unlike the Unbox & Friends version, this has movable arms. See him waaaavvveee!!!
His movable waist allows you to take photos in different angles too! #POTLEDOM🤣
The apron is removable and I was successful in removing it by detaching the gold button part of the strap from the blue vinyl. I just didn’t take a photo as without it, the bear looks weird. To me at least. 😅
At the bottom, you’ll see the logo of Unbox Industries and LOG-ON.
