Disney Villains Maleficent Dragon Mini Egg Attack Series by Beast Kingdom

Hey hey! How’s everyone? I just want to share you this recent discovery which is totally a great addition to my core collection. Maleficent is one part of what I call “The Quad” and acquiring this genuinely made me so happy and just in time for the franchise’s latest movie release.

A thing of beauty.

I find it extra special that Sleeping Beauty’s Maleficent was represented twice on this series. I mean they could have created a different villain but 2 out of 6 were under Aurora’s camp. The charm this Evil Mistress has right? Louder for those at the back!!! 🤣🤣🤣

The packaging is pretty basic. It’s window-type so you can see the actual figure. After careful inspection, you’ll notice that there are some parts that have to be assembled which actually made me more excited. The sides show the other characters available. The top part with Disney’s logo and some Choking Hazard Warning at the bottom.

The figure is secured in a plastic clamshell with a cable tie. The tail and the fire effect are just on their own. Her Highness stands almost 4 inches and with the fire effect and tail attached, the total width is about 6 inches. It’s made of vinyl and doesn’t have any articulation whatsoever.

Hi!

This gorgeous monster is a PX Previews Exclusive and was actually released last month. I got it for about 20 bucks and from this price point, I can’t exactly complain. The sculpt is pretty decent but the paint job can be improved.

The fire effect and the tail are easy to install. The fire’s shade is a bit different from the color of the eyes but the tail definitely matches the body. I remember having this mismatch issue on one of my collectibles which totally irks me up to this day. 😒 Yes I still have it but won’t tell what it is. LOL

Now the last and my favorite part – them pointy turrets!!!!!!!!!!!!! This is something that I didn’t expect and upon seeing them at the store, that was actually the deciding factor 😄. Not just one but two turrets are on the Dragon’s hands. I mean this is my fourth Maleficent Dragon figure and this is the first time that I have a bit of Aurora’s Castle. They’re sooo cute!!! One of my friends told me that they look like feeding bottles and I totally agree. 🤣🤣🤣 I can’t wait to display and include this to my Maleficent lot. ‘Til my next figure review. 😘🦄

PS. Make sure to catch Maleficent: Mistress of Evil as the official release is October 18, 2019 but some cinemas will actually show it today here in the Philippines. Take a peek with Walt Disney’s fresh Special Look.
