Ze Crush Wall feat. Hobbiestock Collectibles’ Funko Pop Protectors

Hey y’all! This is just a quick showcase of one of my essentials when it comes to collecting Funko Pops! (Yuck kala mo ang dami. Akshwali, Paint Pen for autogs and Silica Gel for storage lang yung iba guyths hahaha 😘).

So I’ve mentioned “the” Crush Wall for a couple of times now over my past blogs and I believe I’m the only one vocal to have one. I’m sure there are collectors out there who have there own “altar” and mine happens to be a combination of the boys from the Hollywood scene, sports and other cuties known to mankind. 🌈 This wall has changed over time and a lot of characters went in and out for various reasons (most of the time, budget talaga because adulting is hard AF tapos ang dami mong bagong lines litsi). #worldpeace

After a few years, ayan mejo may budget na. Mas tumino na rin yung desk niya. Ang ruling ko pa dati, basta gwapo, GO YAN! LOL #behave #corevalues

Then I got to the point where I was already worrying where to place them once I reach the ceiling. I mean this is going to be a hassle for sure. I have to move the desk and start the wall from the floor. Yes, that happened but for just a short while. I even used this lot as my Christmas Tree last Christmas. 🤣

To prevent the wall from falling, I have to use the same protector for everything. There are thicker options but I have to consider the budget. Opting for the official Pop Stack would mean 500 per Funko Pop. Yung totoo? Balakajan! I’m also using some Boss Protectors but I decided to use them for transport purposes as they are thicker and can withstand my long public commutes. For this particular display, I went with the revamped (yuck arte! nagka-logo lang naman har!) Hobbiestock Collectibles Pop Protectors. Each pack has 10 protectors individually wrapped with a plastic sheet to prevent scratches.

I don’t put my Pop inside protectors like how they usually do it and that’s why this logo definitely works for my display. You see, what they usually do is put the flap of the protector on the same side where the flap of the box goes. My concern with that method is that every time I take the top part off, the box’s flap will be included which will damage it. But I get it that they don’t want the small part of the protector’s flap to be visible in front.

To date, I have 40 pieces on this Wall and I’m not exactly looking forward to adding anything on it because life is hard and because #TeamLaylayan and #TheBudgetarian is feaux reallz! Here’s an updated photo of the wall in which the following rules apply:

1. Have I seen the movie?
2. Do I like it? Or do I support the character?
3. How many characters are there? Choose the best version (or basta yung afford mo) of the Pop with each given name. (Doesn’t necessarily apply if I don’t like the Pop.) Example: Aquaman 245.

So there you have it. I’m glad that I finally got to share this bit to you guys! ‘Til my next write-up! Muaaahhh! 🦄
