Spider-man Far From Home Special Edition Mysterio Funko Pop Unboxing

With just a few days from it’s Asia release, every Marvel fan is thrilled to see the first Marvel film after the Avengers: Endgame. This is the 23rd film of the Marvel Cinematic Universe and the last of Phase 4.

When I saw the news about Jake Gyllenhaal being part of the franchise, OMG!!! I already knew that he will have a Funko Pop! I mean finally!!! Right?! 🤣🤣🤣 Ok calm your bijjeeschuzz and let’s start with the Official Trailer first.

Mysterio is my 40th Pop on my Crush Wall to-date (I know the numbers diminished which I will talk about on a different article). This came out with 2 other variants, the one with the helmet and the Glow-In-The-Dark version. Obviously, I chose this handsome goodness over the cloudy-smoke-like head 😂.

Let’s talk about the box. I mentioned before that I prefer the original store-released variant (In this case, Hot Topic) because of the sticker, but after several changes on the international version of the exclusive sticker, I went with it. I considered 3 things when I ordered this sexy creat. Starting with the sticker, yes, it’s still shiny but the red streak made it better (I think) plus it says Special Edition instead of Exclusive. Next is the price point. In the US, exclusive Pops are more or less $12.50 plus tax. Once shipped here, the price ranges from 1100-1500 depending on who’s carrying it. Individual sellers tend to sell them at a cheaper cost while stores sell them at a higher price point. Last is the cherry-picking capability. As this was made available locally, I got the chance to pick the best of the bunch. Perfect box. Perfect Pop. PERFECT! 💅 Thanks Filbar’s!

Unlike those avid Spidey fans, I don’t know Mysterio at all and so I had to do a little bit of research. And of course, the Jack Twist factor gave it a little push har! 🌈 Mysterio is a master illusionist with the use of special effects. Those on his hands I think are part of his Sorcerer powers (Eye of Providence?). What I’m sure of is that I like how they made those triangles clear. Repello Inimicum! Chos.

For this type of mass-produced product, they’ve really done a great job. Both armor and cape have small details and all those lines were cleanly painted. Kudos!

The smoke-effect seriously reminds me of the Flying Nimbus Master Roshi gave Goku back when he was a child. Its mint green finish goes well with the whole figure.

There’s a surprise slit at the back of his cape perfect for pageants. Kidding! 🤣. In the comics, the cape is actually purple but in the movie version, it looks similar to the playful ally of Dr. Strange. I wonder why that is.

That’s it for this featured unboxing. Spider-man: Far From Home is scheduled to be released here in the Philippines on July 3 and I will definitely watch it on its first week. And before my final artsy photo, I’m blessing you today with something I grabbed from JustJared.com.

Toodles! Until my next figure review. 😘🦄
