Loki Disney Infinity: Marvel Superheroes

First off, I would like to thank my workmate Reymund for this uber wonderful gift! He’s also the angel who pointed me on where to get the Maleficent variant of this Disney Infinity figure. A huge 📣📣📣 to Daiso Farmers Plaza branch!!! According to him, every Christmas Season, this branch brings out different collectible items that is totally out of their product line. As most of what they offer are from Japan, these special items are from the west!

A little background about Disney Infinity, it’s now a defunct Disney Gaming franchise which started August 2013. It’s largely based on the toys-to-life model where in you have to purchase the figures separately and use it for the game. These look like actual action figures but with a base where it houses the NFC chip. You put this on top of a device and start playing the character it represents.

I don’t have any console for this game so this is just going to be part of my display cabinet 😏. First thing I noticed is that this Loki has a different shade of green. I’m thinking it’s based on the classic variant from the comics but still a bit different for the form is actually based from the latest movies.

Each Disney character retails from PHP 395 – PHP 995 through Datablitz and Toys R Us probably depending on its popularity or what it does in-game. I honestly don’t know 🤣🤣🤣. All I know is that we got ours for a whopping EIGHTY-EIGHT pesos!!! 🎆 Thought it was fake at first but a friend tested it and it’s effin’ working! Real steal owzum geeks!!!

Along with the figure, you’ll find an instruction sheet in multiple languages and a character card as well. Paint job wasn’t that good. Strokes were evident and there were white smudges all over the figure. Luckily, I know someone who’s great at re-painting figures.

Say hello to my newly-painted better-than-the-original oh-so-awesome Loki! Just don’t mind the sculpt issue on the cape bleh 🤣😒! This custom piece is courtesy of Sir Joannes David. I initially found out about his great painting skills when he posted some of his works on our Funko Facebook Group. I only have 1 instruction when I handed the figure. Make it similar to the Avengers movie version. So that means that he has to make the cape darker and turn all the yellow parts gold. After I think 2 weeks of waiting, voila! Achievement Unlocked! Smoothness Level: 100%. According to him, the cape, helmet and gauntlets were airbrushed. The rest were hand-painted.

Here are some FAQs about his services:

1) How much will it cost for a repaint?
– Prices vary per project. Some factors to consider would include the difficulty of the repaint and the amount of materials to be used.

2) How do you paint the Pops?
– I use an airbrush for optimal results. But I can also handpaint if needed.

3) How long does the process take?
– It would depend on my current workload and a “first-in-first-out” system will be in effect. I also have a regular job, so I can only work on these projects after working hours. I do not accept rush orders.

4) Do you accept any type of design requests?
– I will always have to check first for the client’s request, so I may or may not accept the project.

5) How can I get a quotation?
– Kindly send me a PM! Please be specific on the item that you have and the design that you want. I’ll send you an official quotation with complete details (price/meet-ups, etc.)

6) Are your quotations negotiable?
– No. Sent quotations are already final. But I always make sure that the prices are fair. I give discounts to repeat clients and to those with big projects.

7) Do you require down payment?
– Most of the time, no. Your item is already considered as down payment. I usually ask for a down payment for special/big projects.

Regular Jollibee Funko Pop turned into a metallic variant.

So to those who are interested in availing his services, he’s just a message away. Again, thank you so much for reading my blog. I will have to re-unite Loki with his Loki family 🤣. Cheers! 🦄
