Pusheen Funko Pops Unboxing

Who is Pusheen? According to its website:

“Pusheen is a tubby tabby cat who brings smiles and laughter to people all around the world. She became famous through her animated comics and GIFs posted on Pusheen.com, as well as through her widely used animated stickers on Facebook, Instagram, iMessage, and other platforms. Founded in 2010, Pusheen Corp. develops Pusheen content and products, working with more than 100 licensees globally. “

I actually didn’t know about Pusheen until I bumped into it as a sticker on Facebook Messenger. I checked all available stickers and there I saw the Pusheen Unicorn version and I’m in-love! And of course, Funko wouldn’t miss the opportunity of getting the brand’s license so here we goooo! I got both unicorns from Hobbiestock Collectibles. As for the dragon, I got it from a fellow collector from our local group Funko Funatic Philippines. Now let’s start the unboxing!

I only got these 3 variants out of the ten that Funko released. Well I’m only supposed to get all the unicorns but this Dragonsheen variant is cute too. I don’t like the green one because of it’s face 😂😂😂. There’s another Pusheenicorn available on the Funko Shop but I didn’t get that as I just prefer the normal color from Facebook Messenger. 🦄

First up is the regular Pusheenicorn. She’s sooooo cute aaaarrrrggghhh!!!

This is my first Funko Pop with its box side-ways. Now it’s a bit weird when placing it on your pop wall as it’s not leveled the same with the others. Good thing I’m more of an out-of-box collector so I don’t have to worry about that. And look at this beauty? Doesn’t she deserve to be out of that box? I’m really loving the pastel shade of things here. The longer you stare at it, the more that you’ll be hooked. Okay, maybe that’s just me but I don’t care! I love my unicorns. Hahaha!

Now getting these 2 has a story and it started with a non-Funko post way back. Sharing you that Instagram post real quick.

One day, in the middle of a very busy work week, between brainstorming with the Royalties and pacifying the peasants of the land, the Unicorn decided to visit the ethereal plane and there he had a chat with a Dragon. You see, only mythical creatures dare have access and succumb to this place of altered dimension. Everything is casual here. You scan for potential gamers and if the stars aligned (well at least temporarily), you’re both in a game called The Chase. After the first phase which is Battle of the Wits, both agreed to finally meet face-to-face at the towering tree of the genus Quercus. Both were smiling at first. The Dragon looked shy but the Unicorn knew what the beast wanted that time. He was really up for a battle. The duel led to a truce and that truce made the Unicorn think what the Dragon really wanted. “This isn’t friendship!” said the Unicorn. He decided that he’ll continue talking to him, forgetting the plane and just exploring the possibilities. The road wasn’t so smooth given the circumstances and differences of both worlds. Both made mistakes but both wanted to continue the blossoming relationship. Time flew so fast that the Unicorn forgot that the Dragon had to leave the land soon. The Unicorn was already falling for the Dragon that he panicked and just wanted every chance he can get to be with him. Little did he know, the Dragon had a surprise. He already fell for the Unicorn too and changed his plans. He extended his stay and this made the Unicorn very happy. Something he never felt for a very long time. This gesture gave them both a chance to enjoy being together. A quick getaway from all the troubles and duties from their respective ties. Part of the kingdom were pleased to finally meet the Dragon and they sure are very happy for the Unicorn. The feeling of leaving and being left wasn’t easy but they made a promise to each other. That they will never forget and that they remain true. It has been a week since the Dragon left and seems like nothing changed. Thanks to the seagulls of the Pacific of course that helped them communicate. [See comment..]

These 2 come in regular-sized boxes which actually doesn’t matter since I’m displaying them OOB style 😏. I find these ones extra special as the soft tones are kind of like the same with my brands color palette.

I love the details and the chunkiness factor of these pops. As usual, the paint job isn’t perfect but that’s totally fine. Here are some photos of the backside of these tubby cuties. Unboxing them is totally worth it!!! Okay I’m out! 😘🦄
